we went to see the film again tonight and as she was flying that intergalactic jet bike, crouching on the back of a chitaur and steering it with her widow’s sting or however she did that, I was just like, ‘grrm said she was ‘just there’.’

I guess that’s for certain fucking misogynist dicksmack values of ‘just there’. but I just can’t even imagine how little you have to pay attention to miss all the ass she kicks.

Also reblogging for truth, and because I cannot even articulate just HOW PISSED OFF it makes me to read any of the all-too-many various reviews that either just plain didn’t NOTICE all that Natasha did or that basically tried to reduce the character to a pretty sidekick.

And by the way, let me not get started on how much I want GRRM to shut up right now.  “Just there?”   No. Shut up, go rewatch the film, this time paying attention and maybe taking notes.  Was it the lack of brothels in a screen adaptation of characters from other media source that failed to hold your interest, sir?  And I even watch your show and have read your Song of Ice and Fire, almost all the way through so far.
